BlackICE, a " historical immersion mod". Darkest Hour started as a historical mod for HoI2, eventually released as a game on its own when Paradox started licensing its Europa engine. It even uses Minecraft sound effects for the UI!

Spartakus: World in Revolution, an alternate history total conversion mod for Hearts of Iron IV that explores a timeline where a more successful Spartacist uprising known as the May Revolution overthrew the Weimar government and resulted in Germany becoming a communist state, incidentally resulting in the Revolutions of 1917-23 being far more successful with several other communist nations established. Red World: A modern-day alternate history mod where the Soviet Union "wins" the Cold War but fails to create a new world order and has to dispute the control of the world with fellow socialists and communists. The New Order: The Second West Russian War, which adds mechanics and content for the Second West Russian War, the final conflict between the Third Reich and the various Russian warlords. The Soaring Eagle, Torch of Liberty and Yomo no Umi, a series of submods for The New Order that rework the three superpowers and their respective spheres. Cold Southern Springs is a former submod of The New Order focusing on the Latin American countries that has since been incorporated into the mod proper.
